This is seriously impressive and is a wine that should age for decades and about the only nit is that the 2009 version is perhaps slightly less refined than other recent vintages

intense and focused big-bodied and overtly muscular flavors that are beautifully precise on the incredibly backward and austere finish

A ripe yet very fresh deeply pitched nose speaks of game

it is a very elegant Port with a touch of understatement

A broad array of Asian style spice elements adds excellent breadth to the red currant, dark pinot and pungent warm earth scents. There is excellent richness and phenolic maturity to the big and bold flavors that possess impressive mid palate concentration as well as controlled power on the palate staining and seriously long finish. This should also age well yet its not so structured that it could not be enjoyed after a few years.
