There were no shorts or gas. Transconductance measured 35, 46, 47 and 54 where minimum (65%) is 36 and 100% is 55. These tubes have black, rounded plates; phi shaped mica spacers; wire or mica snubbers (for low microphonics) and excellent flashing. WE HAVE SCORES OF THOUSANDS OF VACUUM TUBES.
