Leland blue slag glass is composed of slag from iron refining that occurred at the Leland Lake Superior Iron Company from 1870 1884 in the upper peninsula of Michigan. This slag was dumped into Lake Michigan at the close of the refining company, and still makes it's way to beaches along Lake Michigan. The reverse of the bolo tie is etched with a
