This is a great reproduction of this clever fitting that the auto industry industry designed using a flat coil spring as a water flow valve. This coil regulates large fluctuations in flow ( maintains 5 6 gallons minute) and is compatible with stamped impellers, cast impellers, high volume pumps, and street strip performance pumps.
