Up in the Glen ~ hand printed lithograph native trees using my Victorian cast ironThe image was inspired by the Poison Glen in Dunlewey (Dn Liche) in County Donegal, Ireland. This strangely named glen is actually a beautiful area where Irish is spoken and traditional music flourishes. One possible explanation is that there was a mix up between the Irish for heaven which is 'neamh' and the Irish for poison which is 'neimhe'. Perhaps Heavenly Glen would be a better name!
