It was designed on the occasion of the arrival of two giant pandas in Copenhagen Zoo, Denmark. Copenhagen Zoo asked BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) to create a home for the pandas. BIG came up with a configuration that seeks to create ideal mating conditions.
