This vase takes advantage of glazes which run- flooding the carved orange botanical accents and running down the piece

Shades of Violet Vase bird mug matte and gloss whiteThis vase is made using a buff stoneware with the pinch and coil technique. Shades of violet, earthy purple, blushes, and sky blue are brushed on for an effect full of movement and vibrance. It feels floral, reminds me of lavender butterfly peas. The piece is built from the bottom up coil by coil. The outside of the piece is rippled, the effect of my thumb joining each coil to the one beneath it. On the inside of the pot, you can see the demarcation
