Shades of Blue Vase wheel thrown mug due once your pieces areThis vase is made using a buff stoneware with the pinch and coil technique. Shades of blue churn over the surface. It feels oceanic, with runs of and dabs of cobalt, turquoise and sky intermingling. The piece is built from the bottom up coil by coil. The outside of the piece is rippled, the effect of my thumb joining each coil to the one beneath it. On the inside of the pot, you can see the demarcation lines between each coil as the piece was
