How it Works
PeerFlow is designed to work entirely on the Internet by using a combination of P2P (Peer-To-Peer), Cloud architecture and HTML5 technologies, ie. Over The Top (OTT) service of the latest generation.
The mesh network is fully encrypted and allows secure transport of your live stream to any location of the world without requiring an additional CDN provider.
Streamer
The Streamer is the foundational component of PeerFlow’s peer-to-peer streaming architecture. As a lightweight Docker container, the Streamer manages and orchestrates injectors and superpeers with complete deployment flexibility—run it on your own on-premise infrastructure, PeerFlow’s cloud environment, or any major cloud provider like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Cross-platform compatible, the Streamer operates seamlessly on Linux, Windows, MacOS, and virtually any server environment, giving you total control over where and how you deliver content.
Injector
The Injector is PeerFlow’s intelligent source processing unit that captures, encodes, and distributes live media streams across the internet or private corporate networks to SuperPeers and Peers. Supporting industry-standard protocols and codecs including MPEG-TS (UDP/HTTP), HLS, MPEG-DASH, RTMP, RTSP/RTP, H.264, AAC, OPUS, OGG, and MP3, the Injector ensures universal compatibility with any streaming source. Every stream is protected with end-to-end encryption, creating a secure peer-to-peer network that safeguards your content from source to viewer.
Super Peer
When peer-to-peer connections or peer-to-injector links lack sufficient bandwidth for smooth, high-quality streaming, SuperPeers step in to optimize performance. SuperPeers are high-availability nodes with exceptional internet connectivity that boost bandwidth across private eCDN or public internet networks, ensuring instant stream startup and buffer-free playback.
